Date, Playdate, same thing.

"Get her out of here, NOW!"
"Ahhhh, that's better. Now, time to set the mood with a little tv."
"Don't worry Avery, I've got this remote thing all under control."
"That's right, baby, woot! It's the Wiggles!"
"Now, time to impress you with my baby toy collection, how's that one taste?"
Well, eventually the date had to end with naps, in separate rooms, in separate cribs. No baby hanky-panky on my watch. So instead when Avery woke up, it was time to get to know her future sister-in-law a little better.
"You guys are all crazy, aren't ya?"
A little pre-lunch snack of rubbery play insects, mmm tasty.
Then, time for Josh to impress Avery with his cooking skills. They both appear to have watched the same cooking show, interesting technique for cream tarts.
Oh how we all made the baby jealous with our eating, poor Avery! Betsy thought she'd take it easy on us for our surprise day and not pack us any solid foods, but Avery had other plans. Begging and lots of lip smacking, fine, kid, we'll feed you. How's Gerber Dutch Apple Dessert sound, Avery? It tastes even better.
Then it was time for a little dress-up with Penny before everyone went down for a nap. Penny even made Avery into "a real princess" using her magic wand. Below, Princess Avery in her finery. Thank you so much for coming to visit us today when your regular care giver was sick!
